Can someone please tell me how I can use my 6630 as a bluetooth 3G modem for my eMac?
I am moving soon and broadband won't be installed for about a week and I will have a lot of stuff to do online and dial-up just isn't fast enough for me these days !
Thanks in advance.
It should be enough to do Bluetooth pairing, make sure the "eMac" detects the phone as a Bluetooth modem and create a dialup connection where you "call" the number *99# to make a packet data connection. After that, surf away (or whatever you want to do).
So will that enable a 3G call as opposed to a dial-up
The "phone number" *99# will (should) tell the phone to establish a network rather than dialup connection. You then need to ensure your Mac "dial-up" connection specifies the correct access point, user name and password.
