As Your Symbian is a bit dead, was wondering on the chances of ressurecting it as a freeware/beerware/shareware repositary for Symbian software. Something along the lines of http://www.bebits.com but for Symbian. Mostly as the thought occurs to me that it's very hard to find this kind of software for Symbian (assuming some exists 😉), and that a centralised location for free and shareware developers to release software should encourage more developers as they'll have somewhere to put their apps and get them to the public without having to get hold of webspace etc on their own.
Not really put much thought into machinations yet. just a root idea that came to me in the bath.

I love looking for software (as people may realise from my site) so would love to help on a project like this.
The YS bit was a suggestion as we have the domain and it's sat stagnating. Plus you can have a nice tagline like "Software for Your Symbian" (cheesy but hey). I'm not the best PHP coder, so would only be able to work on basics for such a site but I can do skins/themes/design.
I like the idea. However I think it might be better to add freeware to new software directory - there are specific listings for freeware.

I was hoping to get some volunteers to help fill it up. Once its actually got dome decent stuff in it I was going to highlight it a bit more.
Anyone interested in helping out on this. I know Paul was willing for his list to be used as a base to start from.
