Dial up on Series 60

I currently have a 6600 and use it to dial up to my free wap account with an old Genie sim. I was going to get an N70 the other day but am informed that this does not have the option to dial up. Is there either some third party software that would let me do this or are there any other series 60 nokia's (or possibly other) phones that let you use the dial up for wap?

Are you talking about tethering, surfing the internet on your PC using your phone as the connection to the internet?

I currently have a 6600 and use the wap to dial up, using netfront as an internet browser. I find it hard to believe that it works on the 6600 but not on any newer ones???

I have a 6600, you can do the same things with data access points and more on the n70.

so you can connect to the internet on an N70 using Netfront with a dial up connection? (Not the GPRS connection)

Data Bearer = High Speed (GSM) - (aka CSD - circuit switched data) - This is the most important one. Can you set it for this?

The only access point "Data Bearer" option is for "Packet Data".

I thought you wanted to use "Dial-up Networking" on Windows to use your n70 as a modem for internet access.

Just out of curiosity, why did Nokia (in all their genius, not) decide to take the dial up option off their phones? Is there any chance it would appear on a future model? Isn't there some kind of third party software that could do it?
