i just got my n70 and was shocked to see its was all vodafone branded
grrrr
i wanted a cream one - or one of each as i haev two
one for me and one for my wife
the 6680 had replacement covers available - both genuine and dodgy ebay hong kong specials
they arent ment to be changeable but were available as spares
anyone know where i can get some ivory spares?
i HATE the tacky silver and teh vodalogos
I agree about the branding... I could have put up with the silly red logo on the back (nothing a marker pen couldn't handle) but ot blatently have the front casing engraved is taking it a step too far!!!
I do like the silver, but if I can get one without the brand, I'll have one, if not, I guess I'll live with it!! Not sure about the phone in cream though???

i have a mate at nokia says they look great
the black bits are kinda chocolate colour too apparently
i mainly want two colours as i have two phones and don't want to grab my wifes when leaving in a hurry - i guess its just a case of waiting and they will become available
Yeah, now I've seen the pic, it doesn't look too bad... but I guess you'll need some sort of identifier so as not to grab the other half's phone.... I know mine wouldn't be too impressed!!!
this is weird,
i got mine on voda uk last week, and it has absolutely no logos or is branded in any way, appart from the operator logo which i deleted
and it has 64mb memory card
what does urs have?

two questions for you...
1. How did you delete the operator logo
2. In Tools, Settings, Phone, General, there is an option to Delete Operator Settings. What will happen if I do this???

yep has a 64 meg card
the box is all voda
has vodafone stamped into the metal face covering
a red logo on the black bit on the back
and the multimedia button has a vodafone speechmark logo instead
ill check with my brother - he got one the day they started shippin
ill ask if his had voda flu
(mine came direct from vodafone telesales)
this is strange, i bought mine directly from telesales too
my box is all voda and red
and the software is voda (ie theme/screensaver etc)
but the device has no branding whatsoever;
the multimedia button is a "square"
i deleted the operator logo cause its annoying, and spoils the look of the themes
i did this by downloading FExplorer
installed it on my device
browsed to c:\systems\apps\phone\oplogo
and renamed the file to something else
FExplorer it is then... damn, more expense!!!

i know they had at least a secong batch
as i had to wait til last thursday till they were back in stock
maybe second lot were vodafoned to F*CK intiial ones were ok
stil im sure ill be able to get a replacement cover in a month or so
and lose all that tack
id imagine you jsut see the wallpaper - i cant see it yet as my sim isnt workin
until the pac transfer kicks in on friday
so i can only use it in offline mode
theres no operator logo in offline mode - for obvious reasons
Reckon you're right there... the first batch were in before the due date so I reckon some lucky beggars (like someone we know!) have got themselves a clean unit!!
Guess I need to find some nice wallpapers then.... (any ideas?). The pre-installed are crap!!
when u remove the annoying voda operator logo, all is displayed is Vodafone UK, but it looks much nicer than the red voda sim card

Mine has no Voda cr** on it either 😊 ... I did get my order in early though and kept phoning until they had a delivery to make sure I'd def get one.
Must get this FEexplore as it will also sort out my gallery problem of having everything on view.

Just lke to add i purchased my upgrade from a Vodafone shop and got it there and then, and it also DOESNT have the logo branding 😃

on my Nokia N70 I cna't get into c:\systems\apps\phone\oplogo, as i have no phone folder under apps! I am trying to get rid of the vodafone text that diaplays on my screen.
I can't seem to edit my op text (vodafone) I have tried using c:\systems\apps\phone\oplogo to replace the image, but I do not have a folder called phone under apps. I also dont have a logo but vodafone text displaying, does that matter. I have a Nokia N70.
