Midlets in 9210?

Has any of you been able to install and run midlets on a communicator? I've read somewhere that it should be possible but I've been unable to get them to work. Is it me or my 9210?

mmm
What was the problem?
I used it on Racing fever deluxe.
First installed the midp runtime, then started the jar file this started to isntall itself and created a jad file 2.
Then I was able to run the game.

I have MIDP-1.0 (configuration CLDC-1.0, whatever that means) installed. It created a 'midpui'-folder. When I open it, there is nothing there and 'File has not been installed' appears below the Applications-title. This is the normal start-up screen I guess?

I figured I should install the midlets using midpui File / Install?
I have downloaded Scheduler.jad and .jar files from midlet.org but when I try to install it (I have tried both jad and jar files, no difference), I only get an error message 'not valid'. And nothing happens.

I was unsure about the whole thing because at midlet.org communicator is not listed in the device filter. Also other sites where I have been seldom mention communicator. But I guess there must be midlets that work and midlets that don't work on a 9210? I haven't tried other midlets so far. Is there any way of knowing which ones work, other than downloading and trying out?
😮

I was finally able to install one midlet that worked: Stopwatch from Spruce. So now I know there are some that work although Scheduler doesn't nor a game called Minefield.

If anyone has experience on midlets on 9210, I would be interested in hearing.

There is a very cool minefield writen in Appforge. You should really check it out if you like those games 😊

here are some to play with chess and bowling are well working the same with tennis try some of them even microgldrush is working on my 9210i
whitch you can buy or 😃 😃 😃 :robot:

as a owner of a sl45i(my 9210 was a present to me before two months) i had a lot of mildtes on my sl45(about 110) most of themunfortunetluy dont work but those who work like spruxce tennis or driver show me a very big screen and the grpics are sttreched so they dont look very good plus that causes them to run slow but i have seen in pictures these midltes run on a 9210 and no streched does anyone knows how we do it??i hanve the midp 0.09 on my 9210 is there any newr version?(that version says it is a beta)

I've done some further experiments on midlets. So far I've got RacingFeverDeLuxe 1.0 from Sumea Interactive and Stopwatch 1.3 from Spruce Technologies working. SpruceDraw installed itself and opens, but does not run properly (does not draw 😞 ). The ones that don't work are Hanoi Tower, Mines / Minesweeper, Scheduler, Medical Dictionary and Spell Checker (from www.midlet.org or www.mobilet.net). 😞

For the record, I have MIDP-1.0 (MIDP_beta_sw_for 9210.sis) installed and my firmware is 3.54 (if that has something to do with it...)

I have found that installing through the midpui-app requires the jar-file, not the jad-file. Jad-files somehow gets created along the way. Some sort of log-file?

BTW Mine-hunt from Appforge does run after I upgraded the booster to 3 something version. 😊

I'll continue the experiments...
