I have not found an answer to this apart from that with the inbuilt apps you need to do a complete reboot, but the trouble I am having is with installed apps.
In the past I recieved this error when trying to run demo's of Psiloc software, and just thought oh well I won't buy any of their software, but now I have tried to install a trial of Intune, instrument tuner, and I am having the same problem. At first I thought to intall on to internal memory instead of mmc because maybe the program can't find certain files (opx and opl libraries etc) this used to work on my Psion. That didn't work so I downloaded a different file and tried a re-install just in case it was a source file problem, but still no joy.
Has anyone got any ideas what can cause this problem? I would like to buy this program as it is the only one available for the 9500, with the Psiloc programs I could find others. Is it because it is a demo? If so what good is that if I can't run it to see if the software is any good? I would like to sort this as I don't want to buy it to find the problem is still there.
Thanks for any help.
If you're hitting this sort of error with certain software, it's best to contact the developer concerned (even if it's me!), as there's obviously a problem or an assumption that needs fixing. The developer can then address it and fix it for all of us.

Yes that is true, but as it was two different developers I wondered if it was some to do with my 9500 rather than the software, I haven't seen anyone else post about problems with Psiloc software or the Intune program, also when I searched for this problem on the forum, the only post I found was about a problem with a built in application that was solved by rebooting (or re-installing to rom if you look at it that way) the program. As I have tried a re instal I just wondered if it could be anything else?
OK I will try to contact the developer of the Intune program.
I have this same problem on some 9300 devices, not all. Have app that runs on 9500 and 9300, in most cases it works fine but one few 9300 devices I get this when I start the app, 'System: Unable to find specified object'.

Oh, believe me Psiloc software is nothing but problems. You are far from alone. I've seen dozens of posts about problems with Psiloc soft. Personally, I decided a long time ago to stay clear of anything from Psiloc.
About the error 'System: Unable to find specified object'. It usually occurs if there has been some minor file corruption, and is usually remedied by deleting the INI file of the program giving the error. If the error occurs in many programs you can delete all INI files by doing a battery out reboot and pressing and holding Ctrl + Shift + I during boot up.
