whats the IM software for?
can you yahoo/msn etc with it
or is it for some dodgy service provider pay to use service?

I think this is an application which should have instant messaging functionality. Unless I'm mistaken, it uses the 'Wireless Village' protocol.

There are a few providers out there, one of which being yamigo.com. I would be very interested in anyone who has going this working properly. I registered on the yamigo site (for free). You input your existing IM details (for me only MSN) and you then get a yamigo user/password which you then pop into the settings on the built-in IM client on the phone.

So far I have not been able to get the client to populate itself with my contacts as you would expect it to with other IM clients (eg. Agile Messenger, Turbo MSN etc.). I know it's logging me into the MSN service (through the Yamigo proxy) as it kicks me out of MSN Messenger on my desktop when I sign in on the phone client. I can't however get my availability status to show me as visible!

If I could get this working properly it would be great. Having defected from Windows Mobile where you get MSN Messenger built-in for free, to Symbian, I can't see any other free IM clients anywhere. This built-in solution would be great, as you can get it to start-up and sign-in automatically whenever you're in range of your home network etc.
