Hi there,
Thank god i found this site and what a good one it is full of very helpfully people, So I just hope you can find the time and knowledge to help me with my little problem...
Okay here is goes :-
I have a "Nokia 6600" mobile and it has a 512MB MMC installed in it, I have downloaded a MP3 player to the phone and thats all in good shape.
However when I pull a MP3 file off my PC (2.30MB) and transfer it to my phone via bluetooth it gets to about 60% then on the mobile screen flashes up "WARNING LOW MEMORY" then i live it a little long say (65% to 70%) and it then flashes up on phone, "WARNING UNABLE TO RECEIVE LOW MEMORY DELETE SOME THINGS" however to me that does not make sense when I have a empty 512MB MMC in the phone...
Please help me....
Thanks for taking the time to read and reply =) :icon14:
How are you transferring it over Bluetooth, exactly?
Most notably, if you're just sending it over Bluetooth without using, e.g., PC Suite, then it most likely going into the phone's memory first, and not the memory card.
One way of getting it directly to the memory card is by use of the "Phone Browser", which is part of PC Suite for the 6600 (if my memory serves me right): http://europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,8764,42289,00.html
You could also use an USB card reader on your PC to write/copy files directly to the card.
Wow what a fast reply.....
I'm not using PC suit however I will download that now install it and have anouther go, At the moment Im useing the software i got with my dongle, to transfer the files over...
Ill just install that now and try and get back to you and let you know how it all went

Thank you for your time,
hmmm,
I was told to use nokia suit however it wont let me use the bluetooth feature....
and thats all i have
In your taskbar there should be an icon, when running pc suite, called "mrouter". Double click that and it should bring up a window that says "Connection Properties: Select the ports on which you want PC Suite to search for devices"
My options are:
Cable
Unknown
Infrared
Bluetooth
Make sure you have infrared AND bluetooth checked, if you want to use bluetooth.
There should be another icon called "Nokia Connection Manager" and you can try the same thing there also...

Hey, I changed my messaging setting to MMC card, and it said it was moving all my current inbox messages to MMC card (i have 1 test MP3 in my inbox), but I still can't seem to move my MP3 anywhere other than from inbox to 'my folder' or vice versa. And i can't get OGG Player to acknowledge there is a music file on my phone. What gives?
i use a program called efilemanager to move the files from de inbox to where ever you would like them. There are other programs to search for files and move them but i like the efilemanager.
i downloaded efilemanager but can't figure out how to even find my inbox?
Messages are under c:\System\Mail in phone memory, or E:\System\Mail if the memory in use setting has been changed to the memory card.
Actual messaging folder names will not be visible in the same fashion as they are in th actual Messaging app, though.
so a few questions.one, where would i find something that is in the menu that i want to delete that was shipped on the phone? and two, outside of mmc card reader, there is no way to transfer mp3s easily for ogg play all at once? everything has to be done 1 at a time?
