I tried with EFileManager and SeleQ to copy the contacts.cdb file from C\System\Data to the PC so I can back it up but both programs won't allow me to copy it. Is there a way I can copy it as I am not able to use Nokia Suite for 7650 to backup as it doesn't seem to work.
Using XP Pro with SR-1, TDK BT USB dongle.

Contact.cdb can not be copy or send via email or any other enternal method becoz your phone is access the database when you ON your phone.
I am sorry that it seem the only way is via 3rd party appl or nokia suite.
You may wanna try using the cable connection if you can find the serial cable connector for Nokia7650.

No need to use PC Suite.
You can use either SmartVcard from or Contacs Manager.Both are third party applications.
There is another way,but you need to start your phone in flight mode using System Tools,then you can copy or overwrite your contacs.cdb file.
