Hi there,
I currently have TomTom on a 128mb card, and the 64mb card that came with the phone.
I have been using the 64mb card to stick all my software downloads on, but I'm running out of space.

I want to buy a 512mb and stick the info from both cards onto this.

Can anyone advise the best/safest way to do this as I've never done this before. I just want to make sure I capture all the preloaded stuff off the 64mb card that came with it as this doesn't appear to be visible anywhere even when I use Nokia Suite.

Hope you can help

Thanks
Steve

PC Suite will allow you to transfer files from one phone to another, believe it's called File Transfer.

I suggest transfering the data to your computer, then inserting the new card and transfering it back. This is how a transfered my mem card data from my old 6230 card to my N70 card.

Thanks Jimbob,
So basically use "File Transfer" to my PC (I guess I need to create a folder to put the info in first) then stick the new card in the phone and use "File Transfer" to chuck it all back on?!

Yep, worked fine for me.

Also recieving a 512 card tomorrow so will let you know that it works and if not how you can get round it.

Whats the tom tom like on the nokia's? I have sat nav on my pda but thinking about incorporating it all within my N70

Thanks Jimbob, keep me posted!

I had the same scenario.. a mobile phone with VGA camera, a PDA that mainly was used for TomTom, contacts & Calendar and the occasional file use of word and excel. I also have things like Weather forecasts, Currency converter and games to while away the hours that get a lot of use... and the one thing I could never get operational was internet browsing using the phone as the modem!!

So I wanted a phone that would incorporate all of the above in one handy unit.

The N70 is a great looking phone with exceptional camera. It has the built in converter which isn't bad, although you have to update it manually... (A GPRS link would have been good there). It holds all my contacts in one place, but I have got some better calendar software that shows me days ahead at a glance..... I've also installed a Weather Application that updates itself automatically.
It has the basic office viewer so I need to get something better for this so I can edit on the move, and I can get the internet at a push of a button!! I've stuck a couple of extra games on it too just for fun.
And the best bit, it runs TomTom really well and the screen is just made for it. Obviously the screen is not as good as a PDA in size but I find it ok.

I reckon you won't be dissapointed if you get it!

Thanks for advice.

I've already got a N70, picked it up last Saturday but I've got a problem with the mem card being reconised so I havent properly looked at the applications available.

I'm going to give it some serious thought, funny thing is that all weekend and all week I have been playing with the N70 and I went to use the pda and it has died on me (i think it was feeling a little neglect). Only just managed to load the sat nav and other apps back onto it. Problem is I've lost all my data inc contacts and calender. So I'm thinking now might be the best time to incorporate it all on my N70.

I'm getting a replacement tomorrow so I might spend a couple of hours on the net searching for apps.

Thanks again for the advice and I'll keep you posted on my mem card transfer tomorrow.
