HI all,
Went to the Opera site to download.
It said that the N70 was coming soon, so i downloaded the version for the Nokia 6630 as I know they have the same S60 software.
When I open the programme, I have a line of Icons down the left side of the page;
Opera Ring
Two People
Blue Circle with an "i"
Green Circle with a lightning strike
Two keyboard looking buttons numbered 1 & 2
Blue Circle with a ? on it
Next to each icon is I'm guessing supposed to be some text, but mine just has lots of digital looking 0's....
Can anyone advise if I have downloaded the wrong version, and if so, what phone model shopuld I choose.
I also checked my settings for connections and I don't have "Vodafone Internet", I have got the following pre installed:
Contatct Internet
Contract MMS
Contract WAP
PAYT Internet
PAYT MMS
PAYT WAP
Vodafone MMS
Vodafone WAP.
So I proceeded to set up a new APN following the instructions on Opera,
Options, New Access Point, Use Default Settings. Called it Vodafone Internet.
Scrolled down to Data Bearer but cannot change this from Packet Data to GPRS so I guessed I'm stuffed there!!!
Anyone can offer any help, I'd appreciate it!

Why don't you go onto vodafone's website and get them to send you the settings, so much easier than trying to set it up yourself.
Tried that Jimbob... couldn't find a damn thing for ages, and when i did... they don't have the N70 settings listed!!!
Just phoned them and they have sent them to me... and guess what they work.!!!
HOWEVER............
I still have the issue with Opera itself not working, so I reckon I have the wrong phone type installed as I said before... hopefully someone will point me in the right direction which phone on the opera website to use!!

Can't help with Opera I'm afraid, it was pre installed on my phone. Have you tried the Nokia site, I was on there last night and found loads of apps on there. Good luck.
The versions of Opera for series 60 avaliable for download on the Opera site is currently not compatible with N70. This has to do with the new version of Series 60 that N70 uses.
According to Opera they will release a new version of Opera on the coming friday (11.11):

This version will be comaptible with N70 - and also support landscape browsing (I think), and support for the better screen resolution on the N90. So check back on the Opera forum, and download from this site in a week time:

NB!: This is an upgraded version, and is better than the one initially bundled with the N70/90.
