All S60 smartphones on one page

Steve's been getting so confused by the sheer number of Series 60 smartphones (especially with all the new Nokia announcements) that he's made a handy all-on-one-page comparison chart over on his 3-Lib site. As usual comments and suggestions are welcome.

Read on in the full article.

Yes, it is so, UA.

And, Steve, some corrections to your chart:

The 3650, 3600, N-Gage, N-Gage QD are all based on Series 60 1.2.

The 3620 and 3660 are 1.2s (and I suppose the most significant change is 65K colour display support).

The 6620 is the first 2.1 device, and also the 7610 is 2.1.

No point in listing the Samsung D710 as it never shipped. The Samsung SGH-D720 and D730 are 2.1 devices.

The Siemens SX1 has a 176x220 display.

The 6670 is related to the 7610 and both handle "regular" RS-MMC.

As usual Steve beats me to it 😊 I really need to get the devices section sorted properly 😊

how people could not see the biggest mistake! N-Gage QD doesn't have 640 by 480 camera :P

This is too much. I had to wait 8 months for a rs-dv-mmc of decent size and now they abandon the standard. I'm done with Nokia.

Where are the specs for the 3 new Nseries models? I can't find them on the Nokia site.

Yeah, I saw Michal's 4-at-a-time tables, but I wanted something all-in-one and a lot with less technical stuff in it. Basically a quick reference for the rest of us.

Steve

Some of the phones on the list have bluetooth, such as the N-Gage and the N-Gage QD. Some people look for bluetooth in a new phone/device. Maybe you could list that aswell?

I believe ALL phones on that list have Bluetooth. It's a common feature nowadays. The only thing worth mentioning might be the BT version.

As Raven said, EVERYTHING has Bluetooth. The table's all about the differences between the models 8-)

I didn't want to get into the profile differences between the various Bluetooth implementations, as I don't really understand all that and don't think many users do either......

Thanks, now fixed!

Phew, have we got 'there' now? 8-)

Mutters.... wonder how many more S60 phones will come out *this* week?

8-)

It depends! If you mean "out" as in "announced" then I would say a lot; if you mean "out" as in "in the shops" then most probably none.
