There are a few people who have posted on here that they've managed to unlock their N70 from Vodafone.
Having just got mine yesterday, I would like to hear how they did this, please?

yeah when i took the contract out i asked them for the unlock code, because i was taking a 18mth contract they gave me the code free usually costs 20 pounds call into a vodafone retail store or call 191 ask for network unlock code

If you get your phone unlocked you can use any other network sim card in your phone - not just Vodafone sim cards. I find it useful when travelling abroad so I can use a local pay as you go sim rather than pay the extortionate roaming charges! I think it's worth the �20 but obviously better if you can get it for free....

are all unlock codes the same for n70,or is each a case of its own,i keep getting told the nokia data base is down,and nokia is awaiting codes for my unlocking.interestingly nokia themselves tell me they have nothing to do with it.

the codes are specific to the imei of the phone.nokia have nothing to do with the codes since its vodafone who have locked the handset.if you have paid & are still within contract then i surgest you demand the codes of vodafone otherwise youll cut your service short

What kind of unlocker do you have? Does it work? I can give you an IMEI to check. By the way, does it unlock only N70 or other BB5 phones too?
