Nokia 6630 Mainscreen on Orange!!!

hi, a few people have had this problem why does the orange pay as you go nokia 6630 on the mainscreen have a side menu where u can go to messages blah blah its really annoying summat to do with the software??? any ideas on how to take it off? i know about the hold menu button then go to tellephone and it goes normal but then it turns back on... when the phone turns on it goes normal then it says loading in very small writing and then the menu turns on 😞😡

Try a forum search for "Orange Homescreen" you'll see that quite a lot of members get frustrated with Orange's 'feature'.

The following thread mentions an app called HSKiller that is meant to kill the Orange HomeScreen. It didn't work for me but it may for your 6630.

If you really want rid of it then you'll have to re-flash your phone's firmware with a generic version. This can be done at a Nokia Service Centre.
