My dear uncel died from cancer in his throat. On his last weeks he could only express through SMS. At that time I had a nokia 8310 and kept all his messages of course.
Now I have bought myself a n70 and I want to transfer my dear messages over to this phone. When I backed up from 8310 the messages got stored in "messages.csv". But when I try to restore them to n70 - pcsuite only looks for *.ncc or *.nfs format.
Hope that someone know how to convert csv to ncc or nfc - or at least explain to me why I cant do that.... It's heartbraking to only be able to look at my uncles last words from a unstructured Excel reading...
PLEASE someone!!!!
Hi,
I'm really sorry to hear of your uncle's experience. My aunty died from Cancer this february and I know how heartbreaking it is.
I'm not really to sure on how you can transfer from your old phone to your new one without forwarding each text message individually. Assuming that the text messages in your old phone are in the phone's memory and not on the SIM card, otherwise, you could use one of those SIM Reader type devices. I'm also assuming that you've looked to see if there's a function to transfer messages to the SIM.
Another option might be something like Oxygen Phone Manager. Failing that, you may be able to get a Nokia service point to help. But the easiest would be to forward (if you're still using the same SIM card, maybe borrow a friend's to send them from the old phone).
Sorry this is a bit of a wishy-washy solution dude and I hope things pick up for you soon. It feels like the end of the world at the moment, but it does get better.
