I am wondering if you formatt the phone where everything will be reset to factory setting and all files will gone except if you backup. Will formatting reset firmware as well or will it preserve the latest firmware? Please reply and thanks
Formatting and Firmware Issues
Formatting will basically reset the phone to the state it was in when it left the factory where it was made (this means your own data such as contacts, messages, pictures, installed applications in phone memory will disappear).
The firmware in ROM is not affect, nor is the SIM card or any memory cards.
