PC SUITE - sending text messages

Does anyone know why I can't get my phone book when I click the TO: button in PC SUITE? I've hit refresh, doesn't populate the list.

I've tried at home and work.

I can browse my phone book through the My Computer icons in XP, and it displays properly, just not when I am trying to send an SMS.

Really annoying, having to go into the phone book, copy the number, then going into send text message and then pasting it it.

My friend also has this problem...

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Joe,

I had the same problem, which version of PC Suite have you installed, I had version 6.6 (16) and it wouldn't work, I then downloaded the latest version 6.6 (18) and it is now working.

I am using 6.6.18 myself, I wonder why it doesn't work for me.....

Oh well, hopefully the Sony Ericsson FMA tool will work on Symbian soon, I think they're planning on this.

Hi Joe,

When your in Text Message Editor try pressing F5 and see if this brings up the contacts list. I know it's frustrating clicking on to: and then having it say "no contacts found" so try the above and see if that helps.

Nothing I have tried has worked on my home machine, including removing every trace of Nokia I could find before reinstalling PC Suite. However, my work laptop has worked perfectly. I can't figure that one out!

Cheers,
Jez

yeah, it's pissing me off too.

I've never had nokia software on my home or work pc (i had an SE before!).

My friend can get the address book look-up to work on his home pc, but not work...

i'm sure it's a hidden file somewhere, or something in the registry. I bet it's something in the user folder, I'll try creating a new fresh test user, and see if that works.
