upgraded to N70 and due to receive it monday

have previously unlocked nokia 6030 and M1000 and they were a piece of cake

find it very useful when travelling or wanting to take 'work' and 'personal' sims with me without having to carry two phones/chargers etc

have looked elsewhere for unlocking instructions and the feeling that i am getting is that this is either a - impossible or b - only done in ye olde vodaphone shoppe

any help will be greatly appreciated

Tried calling Orange and asking them what it takes to unlock a phone they subsidized? What did they say?

I have, for a fee of 20 Orange will provide you with an unlock code that will de-restrict the hand-set so that you can use any network sim with the phone. I think that's the same price that Vodafone charge for sim unlocking too, isn't it.

I've had a trawl through the net but most of the sim-unlock code generators don't list the N70, I presume because it is such a new release.

So if you're desperate, pay Orange 20 quid, if not then wait until all the various free website unlocker's have played catch-up.

Thanks Steve - i might get that sorted direct with Orange

i had a trawl through t'internet yesterday and couldn't find anything so i guess it's my only option

they should since your still in contracxt & the phone is yours.your stuck in that contract for 12/18 months arnt you??

Hi, You can unlock a Nokia n70 locked to Orange network safer and easier using unlock code. You can get the unlock code for a Nokia N70 from nokia-n70/rs8wp9/ at affordable cost with easy unlocking instructions.

I think you should go to the vodafone store and not take a chance.
