How about this? MMC Card

Hi! I'm new here and I can say I'm new also to Symbian Phones.

I've done an hard reset ( Green + * + 3 ) and got the mmcstore file killed.

I've read and re-read mountains of posts and I've tried everything and my MMC card still remains blocked.

I was wondering a solution to this problem and came to this:

If the problem is the mmcstrore file why can't a member of this forum be so kind of posting their mmcstore file (in the original form or zipped, directly from the phone) and provide us the password?

And, as I don't have any mmcstore file in my nokia 6600, I would appreciate the details of this file in the file system.

Is it c:\system\mmcstore as file?
or c:\system\mmcstore\mmcstore as a folder and then a file?

I've tried to make a mmcstore.txt with some of the posts and then rename it to mmcstore and pass it to the phone with no sucess. Maybe the rename process detiorates some of the info in the file.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks

It is c:\system\mmcstore as a file. It doesn't exist by default, but is created when you set a password for a memory card.

Somebody else's mmcstore file won't help you at all, because it won't contain your password and be for your memory card.

So, by what you're telling me, my phone didn't have a mmcstore file. I hadn't a password set.
But after the hard format the phone asks for a password.

What I meant was:
If someone who has a 32MB MMC original in a 6600 and could post here their mmcstore file and his password maybe i could regain acess to the card and format it on the phone.
