has anyone else found that when making a picture into a wallpaper it becomes slightly fuzzy?
anyone got any work arounds please?

hehe, I was JUST writing a new thread about this.. Seems you beat me to it! Annoying aint it? (the fuzzy wallpaper that is)
If you want it to be good, use a good image editor on a PC and make it 176 by 144 pixels. Then you don't have to rely on the phone's built-in scaling (which as you've discovered, isn't always the best possible).
You could also try cropping the picture first on the phone (open it and then Options > Edit).
nah - that didn't work!
attached are the two files that i have tried
they have both been exported from fireworks at 100%
when viewed on the phone as a wallpaper they are fuzzy
