My left and right short cut keys stopped working today,I rang orange my provider and they couldnt help they said goto Nokia as its still under warranty, which was ok as the phone was still useable,But I did a really silly thing I pressed the on/off switch at the top to lock the keypad as I was going out and now the bloody keylock stays on I have tried everything turning it off removing battery etc but everytime the thing turns on it says press unlock and * to unlock which obviously I cant freaking do as the unlock key is one of the keys which has stopped working I have the keyboard out and had a clean round etc but I dont have a nokia screwdriver or whatever it is so cant get underneath it,not that I think I should coz I dont want to mess up the warranty the thing is I have texts messages that have been sent to me that I cant read and they probably from my elderly mmother who is on holiday and her mobile is the only way she can contact me I have no land line,I know nokia will probably sort this out but it means sending it off etc I can take the sim card out and buy new phone I guess but i am hoping someone with more knowledge than me can give me some advice to just unlock the bloody keypad as Im worried out of my mind.Sorry for going on but this is pretty urgent and Im a stress head at the best of times and this aint doing my blood pressure any good please someone help I dont mind losing shit off the phone pics etc I would like to keep my contacts etc though...So Im begging someone have a solution to this problem please, please.

A bit impatient, are we?

Anyway, the problem seems like it is hardware related, and it can't be fixed easily through a web forum like this one.

Using some punctuation and an empty line here and there would also make your post easier to read.

Awfully sorry Sir, I was in a panic, But have sent the phone to Nokia now,SO what School you teach at?
Anyway thanks for the reply, I hope Nokia will sort it.

If somebody asked you questions, which ones would you be more likely to answer: Well-written, clear questions or such that are hard to read and understand?

For future reference, it might be a good idea to spend a few minutes and read this: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

If you have other problems in the future and want/need help from unpaid volunteers, it will increase your likelihood of getting better answers ( and avoiding being lectured, if you don't like it 😉 )
