just bought my first smartphone - 6680 & set up t-zone gprs throught the nokia website...

regular web browsing's fine but i can't seems to stream music or video files online.....

ie: went online, clicked on a music file, then "connection to server needed. connect?", i clicked yes and error - "define default access port first"....

so i went to the "connection" settings page of the phone & set the access pt.
but everytime i go back to that page, it doesn't seems to save those settings(it's always blank), is it normal??

what am i doing wrong??? help!!???

First thing to check is that in the "Settings" app you have correctly defined T-Mobile's Internet access point (IAP) and not just their WAP access point.

Second thing to check is that it is then the default access point defined in Real Player settings & possibly also in the browser (Web), if you don't want to use T-Mobile's WAP access point as the default for the browser.

Third thing to check is that you have a subscription/plan from T-Mobile that allows you to use their Internet access point.

here's my settings in the main phone:

Connection Name - TZone Gprs
Data Bearer - Packet Data
Access Pt Name - wap.voicestream.com
User Name - None
Prompt Password - No
Authentication - Secure
Homepage - http://wap.myvoicestream.com

Advance:
Network Type - IPv4
Phone Ip add. - Automatic
Name Server - Automatic
Proxy serv. add. - 216.155.165.050
Proxy port # - 8080

Actually on real player I tried both with & without access pt(proxy access), but no deal......

I was using Opera, tried nokia's web browser & instead it saved the link to "gallery" & same error when i went to click on that link...
I'm on their $5.99 Tzone plan, and have no problem going to any site on my phone.... ??!! 😞
