Well as the post states, once i formatted my 9500 for the first time, the mmc locked up, with a code, that i have never set and never have recieved...
what can i do?
My mmc is locked due to reformatting...
If you've never assigned a security lock code to your phone, it should have the preset code; 12345. Give it a try.
never...
tried 1234, 12345, 123456, my pin, my security code, and so on, nothing is working...
Hi,
You said the MMC is locked after formatting the phone, but does the phone work if the MMC is taken out?
Can you get the MMC in a card reader to check it out without putting it in the phone?
If the card is causing problems, you will need to format it - but be careful to not make it FAT32.
If the phone itself wont work, then try leaving the battery out all day and the re-inserting it, but leave out the MMC for the time being to see it it improves the situation.

phone works fine, the mmc just won't work, my phone keeps asking for a pasword to read, and a card reader just say's there is nothing inthere, it registers it briefly but then says no can do?
Hi
You mention that the MMC asks for a password on the phone.
Look at the thread http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/42622/, From what I see, if you haven't a password, you are lost.
I ave never tried it with an MMC, but if you protect a ZIP disk, you can't read it at all and I'm sure you can't format it either.

there must be some way of doing a cold boot format or sumffin?
