from Ngage to Ngage QD

Hi folks,
maybe it's a silly question, but I am really worried. I have a "traditional" Ngage and now I bought a new QD. I wanted to move my list of contacts from one to the other (300+ names, so I would like to avoid to bluetooth them one by one).
I made the backup with a memory card on the original, and I tried to restore on the new Qd. it didn't see it. so I did a backup with the QD (having written just a single entry), I connected the card to the PC, and I noticed that there were two different file. one was "backup.asw", the other "ngageqdsomethin.asw". I changed the name of the first with the second, I inserted the card in the Qd, and this time it saw the backup and I restored it.
Now, on the QD I had the list of contact, but something went wrong since I couldn't use any menu (it always said: "no memory error" or something like that). I had to use the *#7370# trick I found on this forum, to reset the Ngage. (It even changed the menu in the bottom, replacing "play" with "messages", as it was on the original Ngage).

the question is: do you know if there is a way to pass all contacts from one mobile to the other? They are almost the same mobile, and have the same engine...

thanks in advance
Neon

you could 'mark all' contacts and send them via email to yourself, the download the email on the other device and save the vcf files to the phone - bit of a pain in the a** but definately works!

I haven't tried what I'm about to type next, but in your ngage if you go to c:\system\Data there is a file called 'contacts.cbd' perhaps you could copy this from one phone to the other.........but I'd back up your QD phone memory first!!

Or you could install the PC Suite for N-Gage and first synchronize the old N-Gage with a PC (with and Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Lotus Notes or Lotus Organizer), and then synchronize again with the new N-Gage QD.
