Nokia N70 operator logo - help needed

Hi

I am trying to install an operator logo onto my nokia n70, but I cannot get it right. I have Fexplorer installed and have 97 x 25 jpg but when I using Fexplorer to set as operator logo the phone restarts but the logo just stays as the standard operator text. There is file created in C:\System\Apps\Phones\OpLogo called 234_30_0.bmp which is the logo I have tried to install but it doesn't show on the screen.

Can anyone help, its driving me mad?

I have tried renaming to 234_31_0.bmp and 32 but to no avail.

I have just read in the N70 manual that there is an option in the
tools... settings... phone... standby mode menu called operator logo. This is not shown in my menu, apparently because I have not received any operator logos. Does this mean I have to receive an operator logo before I can use my own from a jpg?

Thanks in advance
Stephen

Do you have an operator branded version of the phone? Sounds like you do, and that your operator has decided they don't want to allow people to change the logo.

Thanks for the replies

Its a t-mobile branded phone. Does anyone know if they allow operator logos? The phone states version 2.0537.1 in Fexplorer, is this the firmware version? Should I update?

Smoggie, I have downloaded Opman and will try it now, will let you know the outcome.

Thanks

Opman didn't work either.

My manual says:

"Operator Logo - This setting is visible only if you have received and saved an operator logo. You can choose if you want the operator logo to show or not."

Does this mean I have to be sent one or should the bmp in the oplogo directory be enough?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Stephen
