Question from a nokia 7210 user

Hi all, i've just bought a nokia 7210 and, looking for java games, i've downloaded some found in this section.

Generally, 7650 games should function also on 7210 (if they are smaller than 64kb, I think), but the ones i downloaded here can't be installed because they don't have the .jad file that my nokia application installer needs for the game to be installed.

Can someone help me to find, or even to create it for some games (first of all puzzle bobble 😉 )?

thx!

Don't all Java games come with .jar and .jad files ? :-?
PS: how do you use your 7210 with IR, i tried it but it's not working, it says in the PC found new hardware Fashion Phone, but i can't send to it!

What speed should i use?

(it's my friends, if it was mine i woulda tried everything until it works!)

Currently, i think most java games in some website are base on Nokia 7650's spec and it's OS.

I'm not sure if 7650's java games can play on 7210?

look in this thread:

there is a great collection of games, some are for symbian devices,
but most are j2me. and those include both jad & jar files.

I've already downloaded all the games i found in this post, but when I extract them in a folder I can only see .jar files in almost all the new folders created (for example the hacked puzzle bobble or racing fever deluxe)! Where am I wrong???

For the IR connection with my 7210, i use Actisys IR connected with my motherboard (a gigabyte with a VIA KT333) and windows immediately see my phone when IRda is activated.
You have nokia pc suite 5, haven't you?

I think it's the speeds problem. I always use the regular "send via wireless link" not nokia suite.
But thanx for helping 😊

Any suggestion for my problem? It's only me who sees no .jad files after extracting the archives?

OK, you were right, there seems to be missing a quite lot jad files in
archive 09... :-? Tsunami ? how come?
But you can make jad files quite easily. just open some with notepad and
look how those are done. its just a text file.

Here, try like this:

MIDlet-1: BubbleBobble, /pb4Midp.png, BubbleBobble
MIDlet-Icon: /pb4Midp.png
MIDlet-Jar-Size: 63489
MIDlet-Jar-URL: http://www.somewhere.com/Hacked_PuzzleBobble.jar
MIDlet-Name: BubbleBobble
MIDlet-Vendor: Taito
MIDlet-Version: 1.1

and save as: Hacked_PuzzleBobble.jad

Thx Jyrik, finally i can install the games, even if some (puzzle bobble or gemjam) doesn't want to start 😞 Maybe because there is incompatibility with the 7210

Anyway, i can play games like B-Man and some others... thx again!

jar file for nokia 7650 cannot be install in7210
i have try it before

check at handango.com

you can buy some nokia 7210 software

i'm look for free too.. but no luck

may be someone can share their jar for nokia 7210

You cant install all jar files on 7210 because there is a size limit of 64 kB.
In 7650 there is no such limits 😃
Just look for the smaller files.
