Nokia N70 version for US markets FCC approved!?

The FCC has approved a new version of Nokia N70 that doesn't feature UMTS frequencies and also lack second camera for video calls.

The primary different between the N70-1 and N70-5 is in technology terms is that the N70 is a 3G device with a secondary camera on the front for video calls, and the N70-5 is aimed at markets using the EDGE data standard, mainly designed for US markets.

The Nokia N70-5 is a clever move by Nokia as it means that users on EDGE networks have access to pretty much the same technology as their 3G counterparts, and this is a useful handset for those carriers that didn't go to the mass.. ...
