can anyone tell me please if it is possible to disable the menu bar on the left hand side of screen and what themes can be used for n70 i cant seem to find any
thanks

im refering to the menu bar the quick launch bar that runs from top to bottom on left side of screen on the main screen where your time date and operater logo are viewed

You cant. Not unless you find a Nokia service centre that can / will re-flash your phone with normal Nokia firmware.

As Mark states, the side menu is specific to Orange N70 phones and is burned into the phone's firmware. There is no way to remove it other than (again stated above) to take your phone to a Nokia Service Centre and have the phone re-flashed to generic N70 firmware. There seems to be some confusion between the service centres as to whether this can be done but quite a few people have had their phones converted successfully.

Try a forum search, or even a Google search, for "Orange Home Screen".
