Route 66 Mobile 7 vs. Tom Tom Mobile 5

Hi,

I've been reading with great interest of peoples experience with tom tom mobile and Nokia n70, as I got a n70 as well. However, there seems to be no talk about the new route 66 mobile navigator?

I've been reading about both and haven't found really any useful information regarding which one to get. Only benefit I found regarding route 66 is that the dynamic routing over gprs is free (only gprs costs), as tomtom requires yearly subscriptions.

What I'd like to know is: which one should I buy and why?

Cheers,
Janozik

Search this forum and you will find LOT's of information comparing these two..

In general I can just say I have tried both, and TomTom Mobile is the better
of them.

Also I don't think this belongs under the Nokia N-series category, rather
under S60 software.

From reading other reviews, R66 runs with Navteq and TT5 runs with Teleatlas. All tests i can find, is saying that Navteq is the best.

If you want to use R66 or TT5, is more a matter of - selecting the app. you like.
But notice - R66 does not navigate accross borders like TT5. But you can have
more maps on the same memorycard, so is not that big a deal.
