Hi, i really need some help. I just bought a brand new phone6630. Phone is made in Finland, brand new with version 5.03.08 which i think is the latest, however i'm having a serious problem!!
The picture quality is extremely distorted on the phone after the picture is taken, before the picture is taken its fine, once the picture is saved it gets distorted, the pictures were taken at the higest resolution 1280 and higest quality and I still tried with 640 x 480 but still the picture is distorted after its takes. I changed the settings and still nothing, i dont understand why as the phone was brand new and am not sure if its the phone or the camera software.
i had nokia 6600 and it used to have much clear picture then this.

I encountered the same way as you do, I also have the latest version. I think its not the camera that have a problem but the image taken is too high that the LCD display cant handle. I've read on some forums that when they've transferred it on the PC the picture becomes clear. By the way does your version 5.03.08 17-18-05 have a NOKIA6630 below when you check ur firmware *#0000#, thanks and hope it helps you.
no the whole picture is unclear i mean that it sux on ma LCD and even sux more when opened in PC 😞!!
not mine friend but one thing i've noticed is that the pictures taken on dark ambience is not that good. eniweiz does your version 5 have a NOKIA 6630 text below its version and date number? when you press *#0000#. thanks

i have seen that u have been asking this question repeatedly.
My cell shows NOKIA 6630 as the list line on *#0000#.
May i know why that question??

Does that mean it's an old version of the firmware?? Do I need to update (I'm not having any probs........yet??!!)??

Mine does, may I ask why you want to know?
coz they say that you can only acquire the Version 5 through upgrading to Nokia Service centers.. is my resources true? I am now using version 4.03.38 of it and it does not show Nokia 6630 below its firmware.
seeing as I upgraded myself to version 5 using a third party flasher, I think that answers that question
