HI GUYS ,need help regarding Connecting my Ipaq 2210 to Internet via GPRS via P910i.
tried everything but no luck.
i did follow all the guides, and seems to work only with my other mob P800.,or NOKIA6600 using the same sim card
am i missing something?hope someone can help. i am on a VODAFONE UK contract.
thank you
once the ipaq dial the *99# u can see the gprs icon on the p910i,but soon that i open the IE on the ipaq and try to surf the connection cutoff.
been driving me crazy for about 2 month now.
i did try the command +CGDCONT=1,,"internet" and works only on other phones with the same sim ,but not on the p910i.

1) It may be that your vodaphone GPRS account only lets you look at their "gateway". It might be worth (if you haven't allready) asking Vodaphone about this as you made need additional settings to get onto the web.

2) Also, I used to be on Vodaphone and they were always excelent at supplying information about connecting devices. They sorted connecting a Psion 5mx to my T68i and emailed step by setp instrtuctions to me.

3) lastly - why do you want to anyway? Opera is soooo much better than Explorer!! What can an IPAQ do that a 910 can't? (I have both too...IPAQ foisted on me from work)

You could try this too....it's for a PC but you could refine it for your IPAQ. I think this issue is likey to be CID number....

How to create a new dialup for a modem (T68/T610/T630/Z600/F500/K500/K700/V800/P900/P910/K750/K300/S700 series/Z1010)

1. go to [START]
2. go to [SETTINGS]
3. go to [CONTROL PANEL]
4. go to [NETWORK CONNECTIONS]
5. select [NEW CONNECTION WIZARD] or [CREATE A NEW CONNECTION], click "next" and "next"
6. tick "set up my connection manually", click "next"
7. select [CONNECT USING A DIALUP MODEM], click "next"
8. tick "Sony Ericsson modem" and untick any others, click "next"
9. enter details from network provider, click "next"
10.enter *99***X# as the [PHONE NUMBER] (where X is the CID number)
11.enter username and password (If required, see network provider), click "next" and "finish"

Note
The CID number is the number of the Data Account that the Network Provider has to provide for using the phone as a modem to access the Internet. If you do not know this, count the number of data accounts in the phone and try all numbers from 1 to that number as the CID number

thank you for the help, just want to say that if i use a different phone with the same sim card everything is working ok,so it must be some setting on the p910:dontknow:
