Does anyone know how to setup an EDGE connection using T-Mobile (US)? I can't seem to find anything about this. Is there any indication that a connection is EDGE or will it just show the G in a box? I've got GPRS working fine, but it's so slow that it's almost unusable for browsing the web.

I spoke with T-Mobile about this. Evidently, they're still rolling out EDGE service (and doing it quietly).
According to the rep, it's still not available EVERYWHERE...but in most places you're good to go. You don't need to do anything special to use EDGE, either; if the phone's got EDGE, it'll use EDGE on the T-Mobile network.
As far as the phone distinguishing between the two on the display, I'm clueless.
