Ready to buy P800?

Who will purchase the P800 as soon as it hits the market?

Or...will wait for a while to see how it goes after it enters the market?

Personally, I will wait for a while till its price goes down a bit. What about you guys?

Why wait??? I think with all the delays it has to be a product with no major defaults ... maybe a couple of small probs but nothing big enough to wait when it hits the market!!

I'll buy it the day it's in the shops!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be getting one ASAP

If it turns out to be not so good, then I can sell it straight away or swap for a 9210 or something.

Since it's defintley gonna be banned in saudi arabia, i'm gonna smuggle it in and sell it for double the price!!

They WILL buy it 😃

I agree with both - a product that has been delayed for sooooo long, it just isn't likely to be an unstable or buggy.
That's why we've all been faithfully waiting for it in a first place - so that SE launches the most radical super-geek gadget that will cause nothing but envy in the industry and guaranteed attention to even it's most unattractive individuals. 😉

It's likely though that the price at the beginning won't reflect it's true value - many retailers will take advantage of the incredible hype that potential P800 customers generated over the past year. Remember Apple Newton?
Some online sites like www.celluloco.com illustrate this case clearly - they will offer a phone to the highest bidder which starts at USD 1000 !! Be wise.

P800 by now is an inflated balloon. Chance is that it will fly high, very high indeed once in the sky. Other option is far cloudier.

Balloons burst, don't they?

I'd definitely buy it if a could afford it,but 3-4 months ago i payed 700 euroes for Nokia 7650,like Figurativespeech said,p800s price will be much higher then its real value,so i'll wait i while.
-edit-
Well,i'd definitely not refuse it if someone is kind enough to give one for free. (any SE sales menager reading this?) 😊

Very Figurative speech I must say! you speak out your name clearly! 😃
( I had to post this, i can't help not noticing!)

Yes, as with all products that get "hype" before their release it is likely to be a high price on first release, but after a few months that will decrease.

seeing as i work in a gsm shop i get a 15% discount so i'm gessing i wont wait to long :bday:

I just got a 7650 for 600$ last week so I'm gonna wait a while 😉 Money doesn't grow on trees when yer 15 years old. :P

Can it be? another 15 year old guy in the same site and forum and same thread! :-? :-? :-?

😃
Same here about the P800, i got my 7650 for 586$ but now i'm back on track with even more savings!

Heh heh... we have no other choice but Faithfully wait 😃

Balloons burst? You are implying Sendo Z100? heh heh

Take buying Nokia 9210 for example, I have been faithfully waiting for it hit the market for about 6-7 months when it was first known to the public in 2000 November by Nokia Press.

However, P800 is worthy of waiting.

It is forbidden in Saudi Arabia? Why?
I have read a news article regarding Nokia 7650 the other day, it said that some government authorities from Mainland China think that 7650 is a spy device for it has a hidden camera. According to Mainland China's law, ordinary people can't possess a spying device like hidden camera.

Well, personally, they are over-reacted. 7650---> Spy device?

I honestly think that the governments are going over board with things.
The P800 and the 7650 are great phones and what on earth do they think would happen when someone with a camera phone comes into the government offices....will they shoot them because they think that they are taking photos of the papers that are supposed to be top secret?.....HA and then they find out that they were nothing but tourists!@!!!! or why do they ban the phones to some people like those whoi have criminal records and make the laws for carrying a gun apply to the phones too!!!!
I have one thing to say.....Outrageous!!!!!

Sometime i think that we as humans, we go just completely over board...

It isforbidden in Saudi Arabia because you just might take photos of women without their knoledge, they have very strict laws about such things there.

Yeah exactly, you all have seen the "can you post pics with your 7650" thread 😃

Thats why it's banned here in saudi arabia.

But nevertheless, in my class (21 students) 4 of us have a 7650! (not to mention alotta other people in the whole school!)

Yes, the laws in the Saudi are very strict. The are also paranoid, misinterpreted, disrespectful to any human rights as we know them and just plain idiotic. But that's off-topic.
Women in Saudi, expat or local must be covered in public, head to toe, like it or not. So it's safe to assume that a photo of a woman, with or without her consent would be a photo of something resembling a black tent, wouldn't it?

So I take that photo home and...do what with it, precisely? Use it in my next bathroom ping-pong session?

I opt for Mary Poppins - far more arousing.

Fig-speech

Was'nt your location in Abu Dhabi? where'd that go? :-?

Anyways, nothing will happen if we talk about goverments laws, they aren't changing them because some people are talking about them in a Symbian form for all as i'm concerned!

The goverment does it's laws just like the way it sees it appropriate, I ain't no goverment person! BUT I do completly agree that banning the 7650 is'nt the smartest decision around. But oh well, no harm done! I still have a 7650! (wich is what concernes me!)

As for me, if the phone comes out 1 week before christmas, i will definetely wait till christmas eve whereby there will be a promotion, so i do not mind waiting for another week... 😃

But if its gonna release after christmas, i will then get it straight on the day's morning when it is launched...

I am afraid it will cost a bomb for me 😮 .. haha.. but from dealer, they say it will have a competitive launch price with 7650. But from other thread in this forum says it may cost $800USD which is about $1350SGD here in SG.

Hope it is true....just a bit more expensive than 7650 is acceptable 😃
