My questions are, can it be tracked?
If not, is there any program i could use if i get it back, and where do i get the program?
It already has a ton of security features/apps, but is there any you would recommend?
9500 Stolen...
The 9500 has a security feature where you can send it an SMS with a password to lock it down.
Doesn't help if it is stolen and the SIM card is changed (on the other hand you can also enable a built-in security feature to prompt for a lock code if the SIM card is changed).
If you do that, then it is of course also advisable to change the lock code from the default of 12345 to something only you known and remember.
In most civilized countries network operators also blacklist stolen phones (reported stolen to them by the police or insurance companies), and refuse such phones to connect to the network.
You can't track the phone, but an operator could track it to the nearest base station (or from base station to base station as it moves). However, if it is switched to another operator's network, then only that operator can track it. In any case, cell tracking will only give an approximate location/direction from/between on or a couple nearest base stations. The accuracy can be from tens of meters to many kilometers (not very useful for tracking a thief, even if you would be able to get the location info from the network).
So, change the lock code, set up the security lock feature, and feature to require a lock code when changing the SIM card. Then make frequent backups of the phone data to a PC and to a memory card (which you do not store inside the phone, because if you lose the phone, you also lose the card). After that, keep an eye on it, but if it is stolen, report it immediately to both the operator and the police.
i can't really report it stolen, cos i can't find my imei number 😞
and those lock features are already running, but instead of sim, i just have it to auto engage every 5mins.
