N70 Flash

hi there after reading the forum about the problem with the n70 and tom tom i picked up on one post that said that the main problem seems to be the newtworks reflashing the phone so in a effort to find a solution with this (as mine still freezes) how can you flash the phone blank so to the state before the network flashed it and is it safe to do that?

The only safe way to debrand a handset is to take it along to an authorised Nokia Service Centre. Once there you need to ask them to upgrade the handset's firmware to the latest version and that you want the phone upgraded with generic Nokia N70 firmware not brand specific firmware.

*EDIT* Also bear in mind that the problem with N70's and TomTom is the fact that TomTom do not yet support the N70. They will support the N series in the near future and that will require a TomTom software update on your part.
