still tinkering with the ngage

well, as I continue to search for a decent provider I 'm playing with this thing more and more.

1. where can I DL the firmware? there is no nokia sevice center anywhere near me and they can kiss my *** if they think I'm sending my phone to Florida.

2. is there any free web browsers that dont suck? I like opera but dont really feel like paying for it.
3. has anyone heard of the shepard program? is it a rumor?

4. i have another ngage that has a W.S.O.D, is there anything I can do? or is it a projectile to throw at co-workers?

thanks

DD

1. The firmware files are useless, if you also don't have relatively expensive flashing equipment (and knowledge in how to use it). So, finding illegally distributed copies won't help you much.

2. No free web browsers. Try Opera or Access' NetFront and buy the one you like best.

3. No clue.

4. Nokia service/repair center.

well after a day of searching its seems I found the problem. Cingular and their wonderful 64K sims. I'm looking at picking up a USB sim adapter, but not sure what to do after that. any suggestions? I just want to remove their stupid locks so i can have my oplogo and choose the tower I want. anyways, thanks
