Hi

i just got the nokia 9500 2 days ago..

i have a laptop connected on a network (a domain) and i want to connect my nokia through a wireless connection with the laptop to the internet
is this possible and can some one help me out if it is plz 😊

thanks all..

Keywords: ad hoc network (between phone & PC), connectiong sharing (if the laptop runs Windows, and you want the PC to route the ad hoc connection to the PC's Internet connection).

Since the 9500 can connect to pretty much any wireless access point, the obvious solution is to make your PC act as one. And this is really more of a MS Windows question than a 9500 question. Thus you might get better response in a Windows support forum.

That being said I would recommend you to pick up a real wireless access point for your internet connection instead of using your laptop for this. You should be able to find one for around $40 and then you can connect with your 9500 directly.... and since your laptop obviously has WIFI it can connect that way too and save you a lot of cabling.

If for some reason it is imperative for you to connect to the internet through your laptop, Nokia offers a cable solution called Network Bridge. You can get it here...

... and it is free since you already have the sync cable. I cant say how well it works, since I havent used it myself.
