The big advantage of WiFi is its simplicity. You can connect computers anywhere in your home or office without the need for wires. All u need just a wireless router & internet connection & a wifi enabled device like laptop,mobile(9500) .

Wi-Fi is just a marketing brand for "certified" Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) technologies. In specific, they usually refer to standards known as IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g.

So, in essence Wi-Fi = WLAN.
