Hello,
I have a problem with qmail and webmail.
At the Login I enter my username and password and then nothing happens. No coment, no error message. Only nothing.

The dealer told me that this is because of the encryption.

Is it possible to get an update or so, to solve the problem?

Thank you for help

Peter

PS: sorry for my english:redface:

It is a bit hard from me to know what the problem is with the information given, but is is not encription. I have no problem going into gmail.

Gmail have released a new gmail mobile last week and you can go in via m.gmail.com. This way you seem to get better features. Maybe try link and see if it works. Mine works on both that and www.gmail.com

Regards,

Cris

On my 9500, when using gmail, I have the same problem. On the log on, nothing happens.
There isn't a fix as such, you just need to keep trying, and eventually it works.
It's also worth ticking the remember me option, so yu don't have to do it again for a couple of weeks.

Also, on the 9500, and maybe others as well, you can probably configure the messaging app to revceive emails as well.

Peter, could yoy tell me how you've solved the problem. I cannot login (or even access) any "secure" site.

What could be the problem?

The provider configuration was wrong.

i can get on gmail no prob with the browser but i have it in my messaging and whenever it tries to connect i get the messge about an unauthorised certificate
when i click ok it then goes to it

Gmail POP3 settings for Nokia 9500:

General
Username: your ID without "@gmail.com"
Your Gmail password

Servers
Outgoing: smtp.gmail.com
Ingoing: pop.gmail.com
SMTP user name: your Gmail ID without "@gmail.com"
SMTP password: your Gmail password

Advanced
Secure inbound connection: SSL
Secure outbound connection: SSL

Do not specify any port numbers with POP/SMTP servers.
Symbian can do it for you.

if i remember correctly, the gmail pop settings website states that for the username you need to include "@gmail.com"

go to gmail
click 'settings'
select the 'forwarding and pop' tab
'enable POP'
then select 'configuration instructions'
then choose 'other'
there you have the settings:

Configuring other mail clients
Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS: smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587
Account Name: your Gmail username (including '@gmail.com'😉
Email Address: your full Gmail email address ([email protected])
Password: your Gmail password

however, everytime i try to access my gmail using my 9500 (either thru POP or just using the browser with WLAN) my egroups emails start to receive a bouncing email notice.

has anybody else experienced this?
