I have just taken delivery of my 3230 and was thinking about binning my TT5/PDA sat nav set up. Before doing so I was just wondering if you guys can let me know what set up you have and how it works. I'm specifically looking at the following:
1) What GPS reciever are you using?
2) What brand/size RS MMC are you using?
3) How do you find the software and where did you get it from?
I'm wanting to run maps for the whole of Northern Europe if possible so was thinking I would probably need a 1 GB MMC. I've seen Kingston Dual Voltage ones on ebay at about �40 which I thought was reasonable but does anybody have experience with this card?
On the GPS receiver I have heard good reviews of the BT77 (mulitbranded) which again I can pick up from ebay for about �45. Again does anybody use this?
For software does anybody know where I can get this at a reasonable price? I think I just need the TomTom mobile software as I already have the full map set for Europe from my PDA. Does anybody know if the PDA map set is compatible with Mobile???

I have a 3230 with Tomtom mobile v5.20, a BT77 gps and a 512 KB Kingston Dual Voltage RS MMC. I am happy to report that everything is working perfectly!
I only use the UK map (around 80MB) but have seen the france map and you should be aware that it is around 1GB in size, so i guess you will need to purchase at least 2 cards to have northern europe to hand, two cards are not a problem for the 3230 as it allows hot swapping of memory cards.
The BT77 works without fault although i note that there is now a Holox BT321 being touted as superior - more sats, faster updates etc, I have no experience of this unit but note that the name is cleverly designed to be confused with Holux a respected UK company selling gps and therefore the reality may be some way off the specs.
