N70 & Vodafone Display

Just got myself an N70 from Vodafone BUT have a screen that has five menu icons on the main screen - aagghh!!

Anyone know how I can get rid of these?

I thought Vodafone didn't put their own menu system on phones like Orange is famous for. I guess your phone has active standby enabled.

Go to... Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Standby Mode -> Active Standby and turn this option off.

Be thankful you don't run an Orange phone.
