Which "dat" do you mean? Often developers just use a .dat file extension to refer to various kinds of data files, but the content format could be anything they choose to use.
Did you have some specific "dat" file format in mind? If so, what? DAT as in Digital Audio Tape as defined by Sony (the only audio related format I can recall)? Something else?

if ya got smartplayer then u can convert dat.file to avi or
using xsiliconvert to convert it to rm,avi,xvid,3gp....

U can d/l it by PC (Internet Explorer): http://www.lonelycatgames.com. I think u can't d/l it from ur phone because they don't support for WAP.

got ur advise. actully i had tried to download smart movie player
from lonelycatgames.com but it provides only trial version & not full version which i m searching 4. do u have any idea about that?

There is a freeware converter, running under windows. The format it will be .3gp (for video). It called Nokia Multimedia Converter 😊 . U've to join Nokia's forum:
