ok i have an n70 and now getting reallmiffed with this phone and orange

the radio is crackly sounds like bad static interferqance

when you set a wallpaper its ofset and different resolution

its orange branded which means the joypad is not able to perform the its oringinal operations and active desktop has been disabled.

now the ringtone keeps switching to original nokia tone no matter what tone i select. ( i have tried the official ringtone patch )

i have spoken to orange about this and they wont replace the phone as i can make and recieve calls and it plays a ringtone . i said im partially deaf and cant hear the phone at times but wont replace the handset . they say its nokias problem .

i bought the phone of orange as a nokia n70 and as far as im concerned the phone does not work as the phone was originally intended .

where do i legally stand about getting a replacement or even a different phone ?

cheers

If the seller (Orange) is not able to accommodate you, ask a local consumer protection authority (whatever they are called over there) for what your options are.

the phone is about a month old , orange also told me that if i get a software update that it might fix some problems and in the same breath if i do that it will invalidate my waranty ?

Take your phone to a Nokia Service Centre (you can get details off the nearest one from www.club.nokia.co.uk) and get them to update it to the latest one, that WILL NOT invalidate your warranty.

Orange might piss and moan about it, but it does not invalidate your warranty, its just them being Prats, as Nokia can confirm that it will not invalidate the warranty.
