6630 with vodafone firmware 4.03 can this be upgraded to generic 5.03.08 ?

my 6630 is vodafone branded, but i had generic firmware loaded into it version 3.45. I took the phone to a nokia service point to get the firmware updated to 5.03.08. The Nokia service point had problems loading this, so they loaded vodafone firmware 4.03 ??. Now is my question:

Can a 6630 with vodafone software 4.03 be upgraded to general firmware 5.03.08 ? And if this is not possible can it be downgraded to version general version 3.45 ?

Hope you can help

Technically speaking I am nearly sure it is possible. The main problem is that if you go to a Nokia point, they will probably refuse to give you the no-brand firmware, since you have a vodafone firmware. It would be a good idea to go to the same Nokia point were they gave you the 4.03 firmware. I hope this helps.

dear Black Antitoon

Thanks for the help. The service point still has my phone, so hopefully they will be able to solve it.
