Hello everyone...
Here is my problem.
I dissasembled my friends phone (Nokia 6260 (RM-25)) for him as he dropped it and wasnt working anymore. it would only say ... "phone start-up failure, contact seller for service"... so i went around forums reading up on it....
i decided to format using "green button+3+*+power-on" to do it.
didnt work the first time... would say "formatting...", but it did not process all the way. So i tried again about 3 times and it finally worked the last time. Phone worked for a couple minutes... and then dies again getting same error message as before.
So I went about to start taking it apart to see what was broken or loose inside. and when i got to the hinge flex.... oups I ripped it!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
now I put it all back together and it works but the screen does not work at all an same for the earpeice.
Is it possible to get a new hinge flex for it???
Anybody have a spare non working phone to sell me???
Help please.
Pic of problem given here.

sorry for the long post.
http://www.nokia.com/repair or try eBay for spare parts (broken 6260 with the flex intact).
All searches come up to nothing.
The part numbers are unavailable for reorder.
I dont know where else to go for help.
A Nokia repair/service center. I already posted the link for finding one nearest you.
Thanks for the link and yes I have tried to contact them already... All they say is "sorry we can NOT provide any service or parts for any phones not sold in North America..." and then they give me two dead end phone numbers for third party service centers. One for WorldCell and another for EuroTell.
I Have found myself in a dead end. This is why I have come here where regular users of Nokia phones may have a spare phone doing nothing after they changed for a better one or for whatever reason.
I am just asking anyone who knows anyone to check if they know someone with a broken phone or whatever so they could sell it to me.
Thanks alot for your time.

They have other phones too, its a neat site.. check it out!
Hi Detskie...
What it does not say in the link provided is how to move on further.
If you need to remove the DOMESHEET, the yellow part in the middle with the four tiny screws, MAKE SURE that you DISCONNECT the connection to the hingeflex BEFORE you go ahead to remove it.
Thats what happened to me.... I just disnt see that it was connected and when the domesheet came off... it took out the hinge flex.
Good Luck.
