What do you actually need to firmware flash a new (N series) Nokia?
Surely you just need a computer, check, a data cable, check, some software that Nokia must give to the service centres anyway and the firmware image which Nokia could put on their website if they wanted.
Why do they insist on only allowing upgrades through their service centres?
I tried to get hold of my closest service centre again today, no response I really think they must have stopped trading, the next nearest is over an hours drive away.
Does anyone know if it's possible to get hold of this software or the firmware images?
