Need Help Unlocking Keypad 7610 — Nokia 7610 and 6670

hi im new, i hope someone can help me,
my phone had been in my pocket all day unlocked as i soon found out, when i neede to make a call a looked at the phone only to find that it had a strange pincode message which i had never seen before, so i just pressed cancel, locked the keypad with the usual 2 buttons, sometime later when i went to unlock the phone using the 2 standard buttons which are the dash top left and the * bottom left, it doesnt work, phone had recognised i had pressed buttons but doesnt unlock, i phoned orange they said try 12345, i tried that still doesnt work, they think i have accidently put in a lock code to lock the keys, from what the guy said i cannot ever get it working surely this cannot be correct, as its a work phone and i'll be in big trouble, can anyone please please help ? rgds dale. :con?

Hi man, I think I can help you. You probably changed your lock code. OK, that's not such a big problem. Go to this site: http://nfader.z-host.ru type your IMEI and write down the mastercode which will be shown in the page. Carefully, because if you mistake your IMEI you'll have to wait an hour to get a new mastercode. If the phone asks you for the lock code, you can use the mastercode instead. From time to time press the pencil button to avoid auto keylock (if you have it). Switch your phone off (remove the battery), switch it back on, go to Menu->Settings->Security->Phone and Sim->Lock code and type the mastercode. Type your new security code twice and voila! Your phone can be used like old times 😊 Hope you'll get it goin'.

Hi,
I have the exact same problem with my 7610, as soon as it turned on keypad will be locked and there is no way to unlock it. I tried:
=> keep pressing pencil button and restart
=> keep pressing green+*+3 and restart
=> changing sim card
=> no sim card and try to soft and hard reset

non of them works. both "unlock" and * keys are functioning, when I remove the sim card I can type some few things and * is working.

I also have the master security code, but how to go to the menu??????

can any one help?

If you have the mastercode, use it instead of the security code, it works. Don't let the keypad to lock, press shift or red key from 5 to 5 second to avoid locking.

If your phone is locked into a network, this is something else. You need to ask the operator for the code.

The exact same thing did one of my sons (still trying to make them tell me which one, but they are tough to get! hehe) to my Nokia 3230...and I don't have the IMEI number...
I turn my phone on, put the PIN, and then it asks me for the keylock code...I tried to dial *#06# in order to give me my IMEI but it does not allow characters like * and # ... and I don't have the box of the phone or anything of it...what can I do???
Ratza or anyone else, have any ideas??? Please help me!!! I had a lot of stuff in there and most important phone numbers of many people that I don't have anywhere else and cannot find them!!!!!!!!!!!!:frown: :frown: :frown:

Well if you can't type *#06# switch the phone off and remove the battery. The IMEI is printed on a label. If the label is missing or you can't see what is written on it, switch the phone on without SIM card and when it says "Insert SIM" type *#06#. The IMEI will appear on the screen.
