hi evry1, i'm new here... following problem: when writing messages, if try to use 2 or more xclamation points, to reinforce some frase or idea, the phone will automaticly freeze and operate no other function whatsoever. then i have to switch off and then on again. any1 experienced this? tell me something. thanx.:con?

Which phone (make & model)? Which phone software (firmware) version? Which language is selected/in use? A retail version of the phone or an operator branded unit? What apps are installed? Messaging memory chosen to be phone memory or the memory card? Are you using T9 (dictionary)?

nokia n70, firmware 2.0536.0.2, with both writing and functioning languages switched on to portuguese. un-branded unit. messaging memory chosen the phone's. i usually use the t9. most of the apps erased. last days even without memory card. everything like used to be on my old 6600, wich never gave me this kind of problem. thanks again.

The firmware versions is a bit old.

Does it also happen, if you switch from Portugese to English?

it happens. it's some kind of virus or weird conflict inside the writing directory... but anyway, since it's still within the 30 days of purchase, i've already arranjed to trade it for another one. later will see if it keeps on happening on the new one...
