Nokia pc suite for n-gage qd needs help

I just bought a new bluetooth which is of blue soeil brand and while the program which comes with the bluetooth says the bluetooth is connected to the qd and computer but the nokia pc suite says it does not. Anyone has a solution?? THX i am using the pc suite for qd downloaded from this side.

The IVT BlueSoleil software or hardware did not exist a few years ago when the Nokia PC Suite for N-Gage was written. The PC Suite for N-Gage supports other Bluetooth stacks (and as far as I know, there is no updated PC Suite to support different/newer Bluetooth adapters).

Whatever is the latest N-Gage PC Suite is here: http://www.n-gage.com/en-R1/support/Software/pcsuite.htm

You'd probably be best off with a Bluetooth adapter using the Widcomm Bluetooth software (Widcomm is one of the originally supported Bluetooth driver/software developers).

Of course, this doesn't mean that IVT BlueSoleil can't be made to work, but it is possible or even likely that it doesn't.

Have you managed to connect that up proper as i use the same bluetooth adaptor and software. and it was a pain to connect up because its not striaght forward as other devices

Isnt it a bit lame the special programme for ngage like because when you look at the full version that supports piles of phones it has soo many extras.

The new version is dependent on a lot of phone-side functionality that simply does not exist on the N-Gage [original or QD], or on any S60 version before 2.1 (2nd Edition, Feature Pack 1).

The N-Gage's are Symbian 6.1 and S60 1.2 based.

And persumably it has seen not practical or perhaps even possible to "backport" the S60 2.1 stuff to 1.2. Especially given that the QD is the only remaining 1.2 device on the market, still.

I have the same problem. I bought IVT BlueSoleil and is not working on my Ngage QD pc suit. Can anybody help us?:frown:
