Have downloaded the trial of this app, seems to work really well for roundtripping. No format losses either way. Does anyone know how to insert bullets into a doc created in the app??

Went to the Data Viz website and answered my own question. For anyone else who is also battling, here is the bad news...

Question:
How do I create or delete bullet points and numbered lists on the handheld?

Answer:
Currently, bullet points and numbered lists cannot be created from scratch in a new Word file created on the handheld. However, it is possible to edit and add bullet points and numbered lists to bulleted or numbered lists that already exist in a Word file. For example, if you copy a Word file from the computer, and that Word file contains some bullet-points, you can add another bullet point by placing the insertion point ("blinking line"😉 at the end (or beginning) of one of the bulleted items, and drawing the "Return" character on the screen (on UIQ devices, the Return character is drawn like a "/"😉. The new line you create will also be bulleted, and will be on the same level (indent) as the line above (or below) it. The same applies to numbered lists - if you draw a Return character at the end of a numbered item, it will create a new numbered item on the next line, on the same level, and each following numbered item of the same level will be re-numbered appropriately.

Basically, adding new bullets or numbered list items works the same way as in Word on a desktop computer, where you would hit "Enter" at the end of a bullet item or numbered item to start a new line/bullet point/numbered item. If you want to change the indent level of the bullet or number, select Increase Indent or Decrease Indent from the Format menu.
